Time to go back to hell
Doom Eternal was announced at E3 and this last weekend at Quake Con they showed of 15 minutes of demon crushing destruction. Doom Eternal looks to improve on so much from the last game. Doom 2016 was a perfect blend of 90’s shooter with modern elements and Doom Eternal takes it to the next level.
The theme of Doom Eternal seems to “more!” More demons, more weapons, more locations, more lore, and more Glory Kills! The new grappling hook shotgun is welcomed addition to the game and adds more verticality to a game that was all about boots on the ground before. Swinging, climbing, and dodge boosting give you the opportunity to get out of sticky situations or the chance to wreak havoc on the hordes of demons. All these advancements have me thinking of one thing…multiplayer. There’s no info on PvP yet but I’m eagerly awaiting details. The trailer does show “Invaders Incoming” which allows your friends to enter your game as a demon, so it could make for some pretty interesting encounters.
Doom Eternal designed with the Switch in mind.
Doom Eternal’s executive producer Marty Stratton and the creative director Hugo Martin sat down with Eurogamer to answer few questions about the Switch version of the game. Currently, there is no firm release date, but the Switch version will release alongside the other consoles. Stratton told Eurogamer that they are working with Panic Button again and that they are creating the game with the Switch in mind. He also goes on to say that the Switch version will run at 3o frames a second like the Doom 2016 did on the Switch.
