Warframe is coming to Nintendo Switch

Warframe on Nintendo Switch

From the Youtube description

“The hit cooperative, sci-fi action game, Warframe, is coming to the Nintendo Switch™ system! They were called Tenno. Warriors of blade and gun – masters of the Warframe armor. Those that survived the Old War were left drifting among the ruins. Now they are needed once more.”

They had me “co-op sci-fi action game.”

Warframe is a free to play third-person action/shooter that has a little something for everyone. If you enjoy PvE (player vs environments) like taking on quests and bosses with other players then look no further than Warframe. You will work together combining attacks and earning new mods for your current gear. If you are more into the competitive side of gaming then you will be able to head to the PvP mode “Conclave.” Movement in this game is not limited to running and jumping, you can slide, roll, and utilize different elements of parkour to navigate the environments.

Panic Button’s surprise

Panic Button promised us a surprise and I would say that they delivered! After the successful ports of Doom and Wolfenstein 2, it is safe to assume that this game will be a competent port on the Nintendo Switch. Currently, there are very few details other than it will have co-op. Will it be 60 fps? What will the resolution be? When will it be available? Will there be cross play? Will your character transfer between systems? You can see that the textures have taken a hit, but it is too be expected. Panic Button has done a great job keeping gameplay, fps, resolution as rich as possible on the Nintendo Switch even while handheld. They will always fall short compared to the more powerful machines, but I would much rather have the games with lower resolutions and less texture than not having them at all.

Are you as surprised as I am to see Warframe on the Switch? I would love to hear from you in the comments.
