Officially Licensed GameCube Controller For Nintendo Switch. (Rumor)

Reddit user Mew_The_Creator posted this photo on Reddit with the following statement when asked if they were real.

“Very real. Nintendo sent them to our facility to produce product layout for stores so the actual controllers aren’t in there, but the product is confirmed.

Edit: Power – A sent them to us”

Power A has made a number of wired controllers for the Switch already, so this comes as no surprise. The larger D-pad and two Z buttons would be a welcomed change.

The question I have is what about first-party GameCube controllers? I would love to a see a modified Pro Controller with a GameCube Controller layout. The current Pro Controller can be used as a wired controller now, but setting it that way disables the NFC reader, so no amiibo. If it allowed for wireless play you’d able to docked and in tabletop mode.

As always it’s best to wait for an official announcement before getting too hyped. If it’s true are you stoked for this controller?
