Nintendo Power Cast Episode 200, Looking Back

200 and going strong

Tonight is episode 200 of the Nintendo Power Cast and I have a few surprises for everyone. First, there will be a giveaway during the stream! The show will start at 6:30 pm PST/  9:30 pm EST on Twitch.tv/N64Josh. Second, NPC will no longer be a solo show. The NPC mini will still be solo but it’s getting a few improvements as well.

A wild ride

A little over two years I started this podcast with no idea what would come of it. The most amazing part of this ride has been the community! It’s more like family and I love it. We have our moments and people come and go and it’s too be expected. At the end of the day, we have come together to talk about Nintendo games as friends. This isn’t my journey it is our journey and I love having such an amazing community supporting and believing in the vision.

Some of your favorite moments

In comments below I want you to share some of your favorite moments. Has the This community impacted you in any way? Share that and will read it on tonight’s show.

I've been a Nintendo fan for over 30 years. I love talking about Nintendo games almost as much as I love playing them. I am the host of the Nintendo Power Cast and I stream Nintendo games regularly on Twitch.

  1. I’ve not been a part of the community for a long time but since joining, I’ve felt like I actually belong somewhere with people who are like me, HUGE AWESOME GAMING GEEKS AND NERDS. I’ve had such a fun time being here with these crazy cool people and can’t wait for many more laughs.

  2. This has been an amazing community that has improved my life! I have made so many friends and online friends and I can’t wait to see what this community and podcast has in store down the road. Thank you Josh keep up the great work!

    • I have been listening to the NPC for a while now, but just recently started following on discord, twitch, Twitter, etc. The best memory I have is a general one. When I joined discord I loved how welcome I felt by everyone. And just a couple weeks ago I got MK and started playing along on stream. I feel like a real part of the community and love being able to casually chat about games and other nerdy things! Thank you for the content you create. I can’t wait to see what the future holds and grow along with you.

  3. I’m glad I found this content many many months ago. I’ve been listening to the NPC podcasts since about the 60th ish episode I believe. I’m usually never around for the live podcasts so I always catch up on YouTube late at night when it drops before I head to bed. This community has grown so much and so much support has even gotten the attention of many people in other nintendo communities like GameXplain. I was so amazed that Ash got to be on NPC recently and that is by far my favorite podcast ever. I think I listened to it almost 5 times now. Josh, here is to another 200 episodes. Congrats on reaching this milestone and keep on pushing out that great Nintendo content!

  4. I started by finding the podcast when I got my Switch. Probably a year later I decided to join the discord and started hopping on Twitch. Obviously Josh produces some quality content, which is why I started but the community is why I have stuck around. Community game nights have been a blast. I am glad I stumbled upon this podcast.

  5. Probably have been watching when I can for 9 or so months but have been listening about a year maybe. The community is great and very positive and supportive, Its hard to want to spend my free time anywhere else.

  6. Man, I remember listening to you and everyone else that’s been on the show since episode 85, and it has been amazing and my favourite memory has got to be when you and Hate were playing Aces against each other competetivly. Keep going Josh! Reviews build us! Not tare us down!

  7. Your book.
I loved how honest you were with your ambitions, struggles, and aspirations. I was in the midst of thinking about leaving my job when I listened to the audiobook. After reading it, I saved an image of Toad telling Mario his princess was in another castle to my phone’s wallpaper. You’ve built a great community around fun and positivity ..m something the world needs more of.
Oh, and the many Smash matchups of course. They were Dededelectible!
    Congrats on 200 😎🐧🐧🐧

  8. Been listening on and off for nearly 2 years now but it wasn’t until September that I decided to join the community on Discord and i’m so glad I did. I’ve met so many great people since joining and it’s been a blast to play and talk with everyone. I look forward to the streams and videos you put out and the amount of work, dedication & passion you put into everything you do, really shows. Thank you Josh for the great community you’ve built and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for your content and the community as a whole.

  9. Favorite memory so far is playing Mario Kart on the twitch chat, which took a little bit to get out of my comfort zone to do so and it’s been so much fun ever since! Keep up the good work josh! #goteamcrawlr 🙂

  10. Love listening at work, I feel like I’ve known you for years even though I’ve been listening for 6 months. Thanks for getting me back into gaming!!!

  11. The first time I know about you is just by randomly following random Nintendo theme podcast and to date I always listen to you first and Nintendo Switch Craft podcast for my daily Nintendo topics. At that time I just own a Switch and this is my first Nintendo console so barely know anything about Nintendo. Your enthusiasm and energy when talking about Nintendo is the things that make you stand out then the others.
Please keep up your good work and thank you for doing this.

  12. Barely joined the community a few months ago so my favorite memory is, selfishly enough, when Josh invited me on the Smash cast to talk about Amiibos. You all have joined our Amiibo community and have been a shining example of why the NPC community is so great!

  13. I found your podcast when I was looking for “Nintendo power podcast”. I thought yours was it and I have been listening ever since! Love the podcast and the incredible community I’ve become apart of. You have motivated me to get out of my comfort zone and move forward with my dream of being involved with video games and being a content creator! Thank you!!

  14. Thanks for the Podcast. Listening to the Podcast makes my miles and miles of running go much faster. Hoping for an Excitruck sequel on switch. How awesome would that be?
