Splatoon 2 Guides: Tower Control
Tower Control (you mean Blaster Control? lol)- seriously though, blasters are OP in tower control. Basically, want to focus on weapons that can apply pressure to people on the tower. Sting Ray is dangerous here.
- Weapon- Custom Blaster
- Very popular among high ranked players in tower control (used a lot in US/Canada Open). Blasters are great at applying pressure on and around the tower. Blasters are difficult to master however but can be satisfying to use. Comes with autobomb and Inkjet.
- Abilities
- Ink Saver sub to use autobombs often. Ink saver main or Ink Recovery to be more ink efficient. Special Power Up to make Inkjet blasts more powerful.
- Tactics
- Use the autobomb to either distract the enemy or pressure them to move somewhere else so you can go in for the kill. The Inkjet is helpful in defending the area around the tower and helping it push forward.
- Weapon-Heavy Splattling
- My personal favorite in tower control due to the tower pressure it can provide both offensive and defensive. More of a support weapon in tower control but could be played aggressively if you’re good. Comes with Sprinkler and Sting Ray!
- Abilities
- Run Speed! Very useful for strafing with the heavy. Special charge up to get that special more often. Special power up to increase the time of that Sting Ray pressure. Ink recovery or ink saver main to shoot ink more.
- Tactics
- Use the heavy to defend when the tower is moving towards your base. Also, use it to pick off enemies to help push the tower forward. Place the sprinkler on the tower to distract enemies and cover turf as the tower moves. And obviously, use the stingray to keep the enemy off the tower.
