What are Your Nintendo’s E3 Predictions?
E3 is rapidly approaching, and that means it’s time for our prediction show. Will Nintendo play it safe this year focusing on games we know, or will they surprise us? Improvements to Nintendo Switch Online seem like a must, and I can see DLC being a focal point for some of the show. Third parties may steal the show this year, and that is just fine. Nintendo has been a juggernaut with software releases for the first three years, so let third parties shine in year four.
What do you think E3 holds for Nintendo fans this year? Let me know in the comments below, and I’ll read your predictions on tonight’s show.
I think that 2 Smash Ultimate DLC fighters will be announced at e3. The first will be Master Chief (please Sakurai… I’m begging ya here) alongside the halo switch port that Josh mentioned in a pod over the last few weeks. As for the second I’m pretty split between them releasing either a Fire Emblem Three Houses character or a final evo of one of the starter pokemon from sword and shield. Just please, whatever you do, give us Spartan 117.
My fingers are crossed to the point of breaking for Metroid Prime Trilogy. I don’t think they will talk Pokemon, however; I do predict they will show off new Animal Crossing, the next DLC for Smash, maybe a new IP and definitely more on Link’s Awakening Remake. Hopefully they will blow us away since Playstation won’t be there. Either way, have a great visit Josh, kid in a candy store, that’s all I can picture!
Nintendo’s entire e3 booth will be themed around Animal Crossing. That will be the main game showcased in the direct. During the direct, they will announce that a Dragon Quest character is available now in smash for those who bought the pass. The end of the direct will have a surprise announcement of the next character, which will be an out of left field (most likely Microsoft IP) choice. This is all basically confirmed, as Doug Bowser and I share a Pediatrist (kappa)
DLC will be a major player at E3 for sure. There will definitely be the revealing of the next Smash character and I’m sure some new modes or crazy new changes and additions.
I’m expecting some new Mario Sports games to make an appearance. While I definitely wouldn’t say no to Mario Kart 9 as it’s still one of my most played Switch games (heck yes, late night Friday team 👊), I could see them not wanting to put out a new one yet with 8 still topping the charts every month. I COULD see them putting out a new Sluggers or Strikers game, or maybe a different new sports title. Super Mario Curling anyone? Maybe some Luigi Water Polo?
2 Smash DLC FIghters announced.
Super Mario 2 DLC for Mario Maker 2. Birdo announced for Smash at the same time.
Animal Crossing will reveal unpopular microtransactions.
New Tetris 99 Modes announced.
My E3 predictions are as follows. Mario Kart Tour will be shadow dropped as an out now later today and to avoid outrage like the Diablo Immortals situation, they will say but wait we have more and we will see the official trailer for Mario Kart 9 with a release window of 2020. Also I think we will get a new Mario sports title for spring 2020. Do not know which sports title. I am hoping for Golf since it’s been 5 years since the 3ds release but maybe to coincide with the World Cup next year we get a new strikers game.
My only prediction is I am going to be watching. And maybe some SNES online games news coming in maybe September. Hopefully a big Mario Party update dlc
I really hope they announce some new dlc for either MK8D or SSBU, mostly new tracks for MK but I would love to see some new characters from the Mario Series in Smash (Namely Toad or some of Bowsers gang)
I think a few things are 100% guaranteed at E3 this year. Two smash character revels, with one dropping immediately after the presentation. Two equally large portions will be dedicated to Pokémon, and either Animal Crossing (more likely) or Luigi’s Mansion. The one that doesn’t get a lot of time with get a smaller amount with some good info. I’m also expecting a new Mario sports games announced. I’m hoping for Super Strikers, but expecting golf. Teases will include a new Star Fox game, Pikmin 3, Super Mario Party DLC, and a new Metroid Prime 4 release date. A new labo kit as well as VR 2 with a head strap will also shown. I could also see new switch hardware reveled, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t see anything either as sales for the switch are still high. There will also be more special edition consoles for game releases.
Development of Arms 2 announced would be my wish list. Speaking of reality… Like to see some game play and/or specific dates of bayo 3, animal crossing, doom eternal, the marvel game, and Mario 3d world announced.
2 Smash DLC characters announced. 1 releases today, the other no date. The guy from Dragon Quest from the leaks, and Banjo-Kazooie!
Animal Crossing delayed to 2020.
We get the subtitle name for Metroid Prime 4 to make up for it being delayed.
Witcher 3 Switch port
The Legend of Zelda: Cadence of Hyrule AND Link’s Awakening remake both get release dates.
I’m hoping to hear some news on the Spyro trilogy, a new Mario Kart game, 2D Mario and Luigi’s mansion….maybe Nintendo will tease a new version of the switch at the end of the conference.
Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Smash DLC, Luigis Mansion & Bayo 3 are pretty much all guarantees at this point. As for hopes, I hope that we see Metroid Prime Trilogy, Pikmin 3/Collection, SNES games/Virtual Console of some kind and a Zelda Collection/port of the Wii U games. Hoping that the much rumored Starfox Grand Prix is real and revealed as well. Also a new collaboration with Ubisoft. Mario + Rabbids 2 possible? or a new IP entirely using Nintendo properties. I’m sure whatever they reveal will catch everyone by surprise.
Metroid prime trilogy, and I can’t wait to hear more about Nintendo and Microsoft partnership. Nothing to go off but I’d love for Nintendo to take on Microsoft’s achievement system
