Nintendo has revealed exactly which Legend of Zelda and Splatoon amiibo will unlock the four new crossover villagers coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons in its next major update.
Launching on January 15, 2026, the free version 3.0 update will be available for both the original Switch release and the upcoming Switch 2 Edition. The update brings several new features, including collaborations with The Legend of Zelda and Splatoon, expanded home storage, and a new hotel on the pier run by Kapp’n’s family.
The crossover adds four themed villagers:
