The Pokémon Company announced via Twitter on Tuesday night that we will be receiving not 2 but 3 games this year! First announced was Pokémon Quest is a “free to start” game that you can enjoy on either your Switch or smartphone. This game shows off a blocky look for your Pokémon and has a live-action playstyle. Nintendo has already launched this game on the Eshop so you can try it out NOW for yourselves.

Next was confirmed what had been rumored the past few weeks. Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee coming November 16, 2018! This game will allow you to play with only one joy-con and will allow for you to catch Pokémon in the same fashion as trainers do in Pokémon Go. Nintendo will be selling a PokéBall accessory that you can use in the game to catch Pokémon. You will also be able to integrate your Pokémon from Pokémon Go into your Switch game. The trailer also appears to show local co-op multiplayer on the same Switch.

I want to hear from you in the comments below.
I’ll keep my eye on this, but I’m not going to get too excited. I’ve never played Pokemon Go so I don’t have anything to bring over, so I’ll have to see how it plays closer to launch. Right now I can’t imagine I’d pay a full $80 CDN price tag for it though.
