Twitch Streaming Mindset: Focus On Who Shows Up

Focus on the content on the numbers

We have all been there. You start your stream you’re looking at your dashboard and someone unfollows you. You wait at your starting soon screen hoping more people will show up. This your stream time you’re time to do the thing you love most and you start off in your head and it kills your vibe. Turn your focus to those that do show up that are faithful each time you fire up the stream. Even if it is only one person that person is giving their time and there is nothing more important than time.  You are stepping into the ring of a very saturated market, so any all viewers are valuable, make them feel that way. Viewers are people, not numbers. Channel the frustration with lack of numbers to motivation to market yourself better. All of this is an opportunity for growth to level up. Look at this opportunity as an “ I get to” instead of “ I have to.”

How to stay out for your head

  • Pop-out your chat, activity feed, and stream preview and downsize your dashboard. This will hide the view count and the followers.
  • Focus on putting on the best stream, not the numbers or lack of numbers.
  • Be grateful that you are able to stream and have even one person watching you.
  • Focus on what you have not what you lack and it will keep you in a healthy state of mind to put to keep you at peak performance.
  • Celebrate your wins big and small because it is all growth.
  • Set goals that are within your means. Follow goals are not within your means and will let you down
