Original Resident Evil 2 Voice Actor Paul Haddard Passes Away at 56.
The week continues to be bad for voice actors. Now comes word of the passing of Paul Haddad, who was the original voice of Leon Kennedy in Resident Evil 2. Though Haddard would never reprise the role, the character became a fan-favorite and featured in multiple game sequels (including Resident Evil 4), animated spin-offs and 2012’s live-action film Resident Evil: Retribution.
Haddard was mostly active in film and television, from live-action roles to voice work for animated series- including the role of Quicksilver on X-Men: The Animated Series and additional voices for The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3. His passing was announced in a tweet (below) from Invader Studios, whose upcoming, Resident Evil-inspired title, Daymare 1998, included a performance by Paul. The actor was 56.
Paul Haddad, our dear friend and an icon among the RE community, has passed away recently. We've been truly honored to have the chance to meet and work with such a great man and a brilliant professional that He was.
