Who’s Your Favorite Pokémon?

I want to know your favorite Pokémon and why…

Pokémon Sword and Shield are just around the corner, but I want to hear about your favorite Pokémon. What generation Pokémon are your favorite? I often focus on the nostalgia of Nintendo games like Mario or Zelda, but I believe Pokémon has as much nostalgic pull for younger generations. I played all the way through Pokémon Yellow and recently finished Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee and I think Eevee is my favorite.

The charm of Pokémon Let’s Go

I know not everyone loved Pokémon Let’s Go, but you can’t deny it was full of charm. Hearing Eevee say “yeah boy” mixed in with all her other sounds was adorable. That is not a word I use often but it fits. What is it about your favorite Pokémon? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. Skarmory is my dude.

It’s a bird Pokemon encased in solid metal armour. The wings are hollow which allows it to fly quickly and lightly. People used to use it’s feathers as swords. It also rusts and gets battered through the year so it will grown new armour and repair itself. So that’s rad. But also, it’s a 5 foot tall metal bird. Come on.

Battle wise, Skarmory is super tanky. I like to run a bird team so Skarmory can set up spikes or toxic spikes and other ailments while taking hits like a champ. It can heal itself with Roost in battle before switching out. He’s really defensive for a bird though. Super useful to put pressure on your opponent.

He’s a good birb. Not a good apartment bird though. 0/10 would destroy the couch.

    • Vulpix. I’m going to include the wiki info on it, but basically it’s an adorable fire/ice master

Vulpix is a small, quadruped, fox-like Pokémon. It has red-brown pelt with a cream-colored underbelly. It has brown eyes, large, pointed ears with dark brown insides, and a triangular dark brown nose. Its paws are slightly darker than the rest of its pelt and have light brown paw pads. On top of its head are three curled locks of orange fur with bangs, and it has orange tails with curled tips. It is most commonly seen with six tails. However, Vulpix is born with only a single, white tail that splits as Vulpix grows. The tails grow hot as it approaches evolution.

Vulpix is capable of manipulating fire to such precision as to create floating wisps of flame. These wisps are sometimes mistaken for ghosts by humans, but Vulpix uses them to assist in catching prey. Inside its body is a flame that never goes out. When the temperature outside increases, it will expel flames from its mouth to prevent its body from overheating. Vulpix is known to feign injury to escape from opponents too powerful for it to defeat. Vulpix can be found most commonly in grassy plains.

In the Alola region, Vulpix has adapted to snowy mountain peaks and developed a snowy white pelt. It has pale blue paws, blue eyes, and dark blue insides its ears. Its snout is more pronounced and pointed than that of non-Alolan Vulpix. The locks of hair on its head and its six tails are curlier and have a wispy appearance. Alolan Vulpix is believed to have arrived in the region at the same time as humans but moved to the snow-capped mountain to avoid other Pokémon. It can be found in small packs, called skulks, that are led and protected by Ninetales. Alolan Vulpix can expel breath as cold as -58°F (-50°C), which is capable of freezing anything. While it is not suited to warmer environments, its tail can produce ice to lower the surrounding temperature if needed. An old, local name for this Pokémon is “Keokeo”, referring to its white pelt.

  3. This is a tough one… I have played Pokémon since the very beginning. I would have to go with either Piplup or Totodile. I love Piplup because it’s a penguin.. and I love penguins! Totodile has a special place in my heart because Pokemon Crystal was my most played game. Quickly followed by Pokémon Ruby. I remember playing Pokémon with my Totodile often while at a job site during summer break or after school that my dad was working at. Oddly enough, Totodile got me through a lot of the rough parts of my childhood as well.
