Nintendo Direct rumors and grains of salt.
April 11th is the alleged day for a Nintendo Direct. This has been picked up by several Nintendo News outlets, and they all point to three reasons this could be likely.
- Mario Maker: We Know very little about this game that launches in June. The cover art leaves us with plenty of questions. What are the cars the Koop’s driving in? Will there be co-op? When is the game releasing? A Nintendo Direct seems the most likely for an info dump for this game.
- Smash Bros Ultimate: Joker is releasing soon, but we know nothing about him. What are his moves, stage, or music? Update 3.0 is also right around the corner, and the last Nintendo Direct teased more info soon
- Reggie’s Farewell: On April 15th Reggie will be retiring and handing the Mushroom Kingdom over to Bowser. I can see Nintendo doing a creative sendoff for Reggie and an equally creative welcome for Doug Bowser.
I at least hope that if Joker is coming with the 3.0 update for smash then we can get an added feature for the switch that allows us to have some sort of dm type messaging system between friends and able to invite friends into games like with other console.
