The Mario Project

Over 30 years of memories with Mario

I have been a fan of Mario for over 30 years and through those years have been countless memories of gaming with family and friends. I want to share my story and your stories in my next book — The Mario Project Volume 1. The book will be a collection of memories in the Mushroom Kingdom whether it is rescuing a princess, racing karts and everything in between.  I am looking for 25 people to contribute to volume one. This book will be available to purchase on Amazon as a paperback, Kindle, and Audible.

“But I am no writer.”

Fun Fact: I am no writer either, and I have a book on Amazon; Another Castle. I have taken no classes and barely passed English even though I speak English. Life is too short to make excuses, so don’t miss this opportunity to get something you have written in print. Write your first draft and have a friend or family member look it over for you. Have them give you honest feedback and then make changes. I write first drafts planning on them not being great; they are the starting point, the foundation. If I can write anyone can write; all it takes is a little bit of time. Download Google Doc’s on your phone and work on it when you have some free time. I am shooting for a July first release date so don’t take too long.

What to write.

Here are a few bullet points to give you an idea of what to write.

  • Describe your childhood and the people involved with this particular memory.
  • What shows were on television?
  • What songs were popular?
  • What were you like? Your looks, your height, or your awkwardness?
  • Describe your neighborhood, house, and living room.
  • What did you see, smell and touch?
  • What was it about this moment that made it so special?

I want this to challenge you and be fun at the same time. If you are interested or have questions, please let me know in the comments below. I will need first drafts by June 1st. The first 25 people to submit first drafts will be chosen for The Mario Project Volume 1. Email your Google Doc link to info@N64josh.com

All submissions become the property of N64Josh.com
